May’s Many Firsts

  • May 2, 2016

“Club Fleurieu is looking forward to an exciting May with many firsts,”, Club President Malcolm Schlein said.

“We have a new weekly class for fitness starting on Tuesday 3rd. This class is starting as a result of the survey last year. We have a social dance class starting Friday, May 6 which is going to be a lot of fun. We are partnering with ‘Books & Words’ to present ‘Ned Kelly’ the musical on Saturday 7th May. This musical fresh from the Fringe will be presented in Cabaret style, the bar will be open and platters will be available for purchase. We look forward to a fun evening”.

“It is a first for Club Fleurieu to be part of the SA History Festival with our ‘Celebrating Our Pioneer Past’ on Saturday 21st”. Malcolm said.

“Another first is that we are working with other community organisations to put on event of ‘Celebrating Our Pioneer Past’. The Yankalilla & District Historical Society, the Books and Words group, the Adelaide Collectors Guild and the Yankalilla Red Cross are all contributing to make it an enjoyable evening of dinner and song with stories, information and displays. This will be a great night and not to be missed,” Malcolm said.

He went on to say “We have our Bingo Night on May 6th, our Barbecue on May 12th and Lunch on May 18th so there is no need for anyone to be bored in May!”
