November Events and News
The past few weeks have seen a variety of events at the Club. On Friday 30 September we held our annual Quiz Night. As always it was lots of fun, with Rob and Emma coming up with many “brain bending” questions to test us all out. Congratulations to the winning team and better luck next time to our “wooden spooners”! We are proud to have presented our local Sea Rescue Service with a cheque for $1500 raised on the night.
The following day it was time for our inaugural Club Fleurieu stall at the Yankalilla Show. The stall combined a pop-up Op Shop with a table of delicious baked goods, plus plants and produce. Many people also took some of our flyers and pamphlets, with a view to hopefully becoming members.
The stall was very successful, and a great way to showcase our Club. It couldn’t have happened without our brilliant volunteers, so our thanks to you all! Many thanks also to our Line Dancers and Rock & Roll dancers, who were part of the entertainment on the main stage and did a wonderful job.
On Saturday 8 October the Crosstown Ramblers arrived “ready to rock”, and they certainly delivered! Their fabulous music had us up on our feet dancing (and singing) the night away. The band have promised to return in 2023, and we can’t wait!
Added to all these events we had our ever popular Steak & Red night, Club barbecue, Spring Lunch and Halloween Happy Hour. There is certainly something for everyone here at the Club!
