Club Fleurieu Planning Day
On September 26, Club Fleurieu held their first planning day with Committee members and a small group of enthusiastic members.
Background papers were provided covering topics that were to be discussed and participants were encouraged to canvass the membership and public for ideas. Adrian Skull a renowned facilitator led the group.
There was great enthusiasm to plan the future for the next four years.
Discussion ranged from new activities to major capital works. As a result of this day the Committee have made a commitment to investigate a healthy life style centre and how it can be funded through grants.
It is hoped to include an Aquarobics Pool, gymnasium and walking trail for members. The Committee will also be looking at major upgrades to the existing buildings to provide better facilities for members. It is expected to have a strategic plan and business plan available by early December for member’s comments.
The plans will provide opportunities for members to be involved in new exciting programs for 2016.
“The Planning Day has set new directions for the Club and the Committee now has the role to put the plan into action. One of the first things we need to do is to provide members with the opportunity to be involved through a survey,: President Malcolm Schlein said. “It is important to see what the member’s priorities for 2016 are. Membership support and involvement is critical to the Club moving forward”.
