Garden Shed News

Recently the Club enjoyed a visit from residents of an ECH retirement community, who travelled by bus from the suburb of Lockleys. Their plan was to check out the garden & also find out what the men get up to in the Men’s Shed. They were most impressed on both counts! Many thanks to Bob Hacker for explaining the Shed activities – we had a hard time getting them out of there!

Our guests sat down to a well appreciated morning tea before touring the flourishing garden. As they left to experience more of our wonderful Fleurieu, we presented them with a huge hamper of freshly picked goodies from the garden. We hope this visit was the first of many visits to our new “farmlet”.

Exciting things are happening soon at the garden, so watch the space!! We would love to welcome new gardeners to our plot on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9.30am. Why not come and be part of this new venture and watch it grow?
