Garden Shed News

The Garden Shed has thankfully been a sanctuary for our team during the Covid closure period. Working outdoors and at a distance has been a tonic for us all. We are currently developing garden beds by rejuvenating heavy clay soil with organic compost and manures. With Spring on our doorstep we are looking forward to planting.

The chooks have been settling in well. With pride and joy we announce the first six eggs arrived on July 16! With plans of additional chickens to join the hen house, we are hopeful to offer sales of fresh eggs.

If any club members have an unused wheelbarrow they would care to donate to the garden, we would be truly grateful. We would love to see new helpers in the garden to share the enthusiasm we have for growing fresh, nutritious food.
