Ground Beautification
The Mosaic Group are working with Anne Petch of the Yankalilla Council to seek grant funding for an Open Space Grant to make the Club’s bark garden and river banks more inviting places for people to relax in and enjoy.
We have many examples in our district of how mosaic work can add interest and beauty to areas with the bench outside the information centre, the art work at the beach, a pole in Bungala Park and table tops at Normanville and Second Valley to name a few. It is planned to seek funding to employ a professional mosaic artist to design the area and oversee the development of the project.
Other groups such as the Men’s Shed, Gardening Group and walking group will be encouraged to be involved and to enjoy the benefits of working together as a team.
If the grant is successful it will make the area quite unique and a place of interest for members to enjoy and a place that can be proudly displayed to the general public.
We will need many tiles so if anyone has any old tiles that they do not need please drop them off at the club. We will be most grateful!
